A gentle first experience of Alphera
Stay & Play is a welcoming, play-based morning designed to give young children a gentle first experience of Alphera. Alongside a familiar caregiver, children are free to explore, create, communicate, move and connect with others in a carefully prepared early-years environment.
Through sensory play, movement, creativity, nature, music and hands-on exploration, children build confidence and independence at their own pace, while becoming familiar with the rhythms and relationships of an Alphera learning environment.
The proposed morning session is 9:00–11:30 am. Each child remains with their caregiver throughout.
2 days per week: Sunday & Tuesday
3 days per week: Sunday, Monday & Tuesday

What to Expect at Stay & Play
-
Who is it for?
Designed for young children aged 2 to 4 years old who are not yet enrolled in, or ready for, a full nursery or school programme. Stay & Play provides a gentle introduction to the Alphera environment alongside a familiar caregiver.
-
What will my child do?
Each session offers a carefully prepared play environment where children can explore at their own pace. Experiences may include messy and sensory play, water play, creative activities, music and movement, nature exploration, early cooking experiences and open-ended play. Activities will change regularly in response to children's interests and developmental needs.
-
What will my child develop?
Through play and interaction, children have opportunities to develop communication, confidence, independence, physical skills, creativity and early social skills. The emphasis is not on formal teaching, but on exploration, relationships and learning through meaningful play.

Stay & Play is a caregiver-accompanied programme. A parent, nanny, helper or other agreed caregiver remains on site and with the child for the full session, unless Alphera has agreed otherwise in writing.
A consistent core team prepares the play environment, with short visits from other Alphera staff for experiences such as stories, songs, circle time or movement.
